The client is one of the major supplier of configurable and supplier products in USA. It has global operations in more than 130 countries around the globe with world-class document imaging and document hosting centers.

The Challenge

  • The major challenges that the client was facing were to roll out business-to-business shops for configurable products.
  • The challenge was even intense as the client had requirement of displaying different prices of same product for different suppliers.
  • The portfolio of the challenge even demanded displaying specific products in the product catalog to some specific suppliers only.
  • Interfacing with multiple interacting applications, payment gateways, MIS systems and fulfillment also complicated the matter as the synchronization was also to be attained in getting the multiple applications coordinated keeping in mind that every system should behave the way it was expected to respond.

  • Developing a robust and scalable back office and equally attractive storefronts that could handle millions of unique visitors per day.

The Business Strategy

  • Developing a shopping basket with search, advance search, browse, order and payment capabilities for buying products.
  • Providing the facility of providing multiple address in the shopping basket
  • Interfacing with multiple applications for ordering, fulfillment and logistic partnership.

The scalability of the system delivered by Eperium India allowed the client organization to get quick response time even when multiple system are interacting with each other. The system is currently working with a powerful content management system and is integrated with a payment gateway. The highlight of the solutions was delivering the client a system, which is cost effective, and at the same time flexible enough to accommodate any projected changes which were forecasted by the client organization.
